Overview

Procurement of Matimba Power Station Unit 2-6 Diesel Generator Fire Protection works (mechanical, civil and C&I) with testing and commissioning, under an ECC3 NEC framework. Requirements

• ECC3 contract data: priced contract with activity schedule (Option A); 6 months completion; 5% retention; dispute resolution by adjudicator/arbitration; English contract language; 3 working days for replies.
• Eligibility and compliance: meet Eskom’s eligibility criteria; no sanctions or conflicts of interest; CIDB requirements as applicable (CSDG if applicable); adherence to tax and integrity requirements.
• Documentation and localization: complete mandatory tender returnables including SBD forms (SBD 1, SBD 4, SBD 6.1) and Annexures A–J; local content and CPA declarations; CIDB-related attachments; Tax evaluation questionnaire.
• Tender specifics: price schedule/BOQ in PDF and Excel; no alternative tenders; 12-week/90-day tender validity as applicable; cataloguing requirements if specified.
• Quality and safety: implement a Quality Control Plan/ITP (QCP/ITP); comply with ISO 9001-style QMS expectations; SDL&I strategy for localisation and BBBEE; include Supplier Integrity Pact where applicable.
• Schedule and site: scope covers Unit 2–6 diesel generator fire protection; site boundaries at Matimba; risk register items to be considered; site inspection requirements.
