Overview

Procurement of design, supply and installation of a 220 kV transmission line (Lot A) for the New Habarana–Kappalthurai Transmission Grid Expansion Project in Sri Lanka. Open to all eligible bidders under AIIB PIR guidelines; suitable for electrical EPC contractors with experience in 220 kV transmission lines, HTLS twin-bundle conductors and OPGW, including testing and commissioning.

Requirements

• Procurement method: Single-Stage, Two-Envelope IOCT, without Prequalification; no prequalification required.
• Tender security: LKR 180,000,000 or USD 600,000.
• Tender document fee: LKR 250,000 or USD 850; payment by cash or bank draft; documents collected from Project Manager (CEATP‑I).
• Submission: physical delivery only; electronic tendering not permitted; bids due 22-10-2026 at 10:00; envelopes labeled accordingly and opened publicly.

• Contract duration: 730 days.
• Eligibility: open to all eligible firms/individuals as defined in PIR.

How to Apply

• Confirm eligibility under PIR; no prequalification.
• Obtain Tender Document by written request to Project Manager (CEATP‑I) at NTNSP; pay the specified fee (LKR 250,000 or USD 850); collect in Colombo or arrange courier (domestic USD 300 or local LKR 10,000). • Prepare and submit the bid with the required Tender Security by the 22-10-2026 10:00 deadline.
• Submit in person to the HLPC at the Office of the Chief Technical Officer, NTNSP, Colombo; ensure outer/inner envelopes are correctly marked as per bidding instructions. No electronic submission.
