Overview

Appointment of a service provider for servicing/repair of natural gas lines for a period of 5 years. The University of the Witwatersrand seeks a single contractor to inspect, service, maintain and test gas reticulation across campuses, with strict pre-qualification, risk, and insurance requirements and a non-subcontracting constraint.

Requirements

• Mandatory pre-qualification: signed submission by an authorised representative; CIPC registration; SARS tax PIN; VAT status; 3 years of audited financials or justification; bank good standing; COIDA; minimum public liability R20m and product liability R5m; SAQCC Gas (Natural) registration; SAGA registration; presence in Gauteng; 3+ relevant references (Gauteng among them); no sub-contracting/JV/partnership.
• Technical/operational: track record of at least 5 years servicing natural gas lines; ISO 9001:2015 (or equivalent) quality management; proximity within Gauteng; risk/assumptions/dependencies (RADE) documentation.
• Pricing/commercial: Annexure C pricing schedule; price mark-ups limited by policy; B-BBEE certificate where applicable.
