Overview

Appointment of two service providers for inspection, service and maintenance of Laboratory Fumehoods and related containment equipment for five years. The University of the Witwatersrand seeks two service providers, one for Braamfontein and one for Parktown (including Chris Hani Baragwanath hospital), to carry out assessment, maintenance (preventative and corrective), validation/certification and asset management for lab fume hoods, laminar flow units, PCR cabinets and biosafety cabinets, with OEM-guided servicing and required documentation. Requirements

• SA registered entity; provide CIPC details and director information.
• Valid tax compliance status and VAT details; provide AFS for last 3 years or justification and PI score.
• Compensation Fund Good Standing letter; public liability insurance ≥ R60 million and product liability ≥ R5 million, or commitment to obtain by contract start.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance, servicing, certification and repair of laboratory containment equipment (fume hoods, biosafety cabinets, laminar flow units, PCR cabinets).
• Minimum 3 recent, relevant client references for laboratory equipment maintenance (last 5 years; at least one in Gauteng) with contract value ≥ R500k.
• Established Gauteng office/workshop with supporting evidence.
• Submit pricing in Annexure B and Annexure C per the BOQ; price all line items or indicate zero; pricing must be in ZAR.
• At least two OEM letters/certificates authorising maintenance, testing, calibration for listed equipment.
• Return Annexure B (Returnable Schedules) and Annexure C (Pricing Schedule) as part of submission. (RFP Document)
