Overview

Procurement of oil spillage response and hazardous waste disposal services for transformer incidents, including disposal of 1000 L drums and hazmat labour, for Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality. Accredited service providers in hazardous spill response, environmental cleanup, and hazardous waste management should consider bidding. Key qualifications include relevant health and safety, electrical/ HV credentials, andHazMat competencies as outlined in the requirements.

Requirements

• Submit company registration document (CK) and proof of CSD registration; SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN; certified directors’ IDs (within 3 months).
• Certified JV agreement if a joint venture is used; complete tender forms (Form of Offer, declarations).
• Company profile with proven oil spillage/transformer experience.
• Functional/technical credentials: team leader with trade-tested electrician or HV certificate; hazardous chemical substances training; PPE/respirator and absorbent training.
• Bid documents must be completed in full, signed, and prices must be inclusive of VAT; bid validity 90 days.
• Local content preferences may apply and require MBD6.1 declarations and B-BBEE certification.

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 08 September 2026 at 12:00. Bids must be in a sealed envelope in the Bid Box at Budget and Treasury Office, 25–27 Owen Street, Queenstown (RFQ18/08/2026). No electronic submissions.
• Submission method: hand delivery to the Bid Box; ensure back address on envelope; bids opening public.
• Documents to submit: official bid documents (MBD1–MBD9 as applicable), CK registration, CSD/PIN, SARS TCS, certified IDs, JV if any, company profile, B-BBEE certificate, and a cost/price schedule in words and figures.
• Pre-qualification/registrations: SARS TCS/PIN; CSD registration; tax clearance; SANAS/IRBA-certified B-BBEE where applicable.
• Site briefing: no formal site inspection; bidders must be fully aware of requirements.
