OPEN TENDER FOR PROVISION OF MEDICAL SERVICES- OPTICAL

Overview

Open tender for provision of Medical Services – Optical to Kenyatta University; open to registered optical health facilities in Kenya that meet the eligibility criteria outlined in Section IV of the tender documents. The contract covers optical medical services to support university health service provision.

Requirements

• Must be a registered Optical health facility in Kenya; meet eligibility in Section IV.
• Provide Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority.
• Submit Form of Tender, priced Activity Schedule, and Tender Security or Tender-Securing Declaration; JV documentation if applicable.
• No conflict of interest; comply with fraud/corruption provisions and sign the Certificate of Independent Tender Determination.
• If foreign, meet 40% local content requirement and comply with nationality and JV rules as described in ITT/Section III.
• For Joint Ventures, joint and several liability, a representative, and no double participation in other tenders.

How to Apply

• Deadline: 10 November 2026 at 10:00 AM; electronic submissions are not permitted (Tender Document).
• Submission method: sealed tender delivered to the Kenyatta University Main Campus, Procurement Department reception; hand delivery to Central Administration Complex, Room No.9 (as per tender docs).
• Documents to submit: Form of Tender; priced Activity Schedule; Tender Security or Declaration; JV agreements if any; qualifications and eligibility documents; tax compliance evidence; other documents as per ITT 13.1; pages must be serialized.
• Registrations/pre-qualifications: bidders must be registered Optical health facilities in Kenya; provide evidence of eligibility and meet local content and tax requirements.
• Briefing/site visit: a pre-tender meeting/site visit may be held per the TDS; attendance is not mandatory but minutes will be shared (Pre-Tender Meeting ITT 8).
