Overview

Outright purchase of an automated ampoule filling and sealing machine for SAVP, including five years of service and maintenance. Bidders should be suppliers of pharmaceutical packaging equipment with GMP-ready capabilities, experience with laminar flow and restricted access barrier systems (RABS/LAF), and appropriate certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 3834, etc.).

Requirements

• Mandatory technical and compliance qualifications:
• Two client reference letters for similar work.
• Automated ampoule filling/sealing system meeting detailed specs (Schott glass ampoules, LAF/RABS with gloves, glove integrity testing, 3 filling heads, monitoring sensors, nitrogen sealing options, output >20–25 ampoules/min, 230–320 V, SS 316L contact parts, safety features, documentation package).
• Five-year maintenance program with spares, qualified personnel, and after-hours standby.
• Risk assessment and compliance with OHSA and related regulations; provide DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ, FAT, and installation documentation; 12 months warranty.
• Certifications and registrations: ISO 9001-2015, ISO 3834-2021, COIDA COID good standing, ISO/other management standards as applicable; CSD registration; valid Tax Clearance or Tax Compliance PIN.
• B-BBEE requirements: completed SBD4, BBBEE verification or sworn affidavit; SBD6.1 preference form.
• Financials: two years of audited financial statements; proof of solvency or financial capacity.

  • Envelope 1: Bid/Proposal (excluding pricing) and all mandatory documents.
  • Envelope 2: Pricing (Annexure B) and pricing schedules.
  • Include one original, one hard copy, and one electronic copy on USB in PDF.
• Required documents to submit (where applicable): Tax Clearance or PIN, CSD registration, BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, two-year audited statements, ISO certificates (9001, 3834), COIDA letter, SBD4, SBD6.1, and complete Annexures A–D.
• Notes: pricing must be firm for the contract term; cost must cover installation, delivery, training, and maintenance; no alternatives; compliance with NHLS general and special contract conditions. If subcontractors are used, co-signed documents are required.
