Overview

Appointment of an insurance broker for Overberg Water Board for a period of 36 months. Bidders should be experienced short-term insurance brokers with FSCA accreditation for relevant products, CSD registration, a valid BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, and compliance with SCM administrative and mandatory requirements. The bid employs an 80/20 evaluation (price 80, specific goals 20). (see Download File)

Requirements

• Valid FSCA accreditation for relevant insurance products.
• BBBEE certificate or SANAS-verified affidavit (EME may submit sworn affidavit).
• CSD registration printout and Tax Compliance PIN; annual financial statements for the past 3 years.
• Insurers/underwriters for all quoted insurance classes.
• Attendance at compulsory briefing and completion of returnable schedules (SBD1, SBD3.2, SBD4, SBD6.1) plus Pricing Schedule.
• Compliance with PPPFA/PFMA; submission via the Overberg Water e-Tender Portal/website. (see Pricing_Schedule.xlsx)

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 19 November 2026 at 12:00; submissions in sealed envelope to the OWB Corporate Office bid box. (see Download File)
• Intermediate deadline for enquiries: 5 November 2026 at 17:00; all enquiries in writing to the listed OWB contacts.
• Submission method: hard copy in sealed envelope; telegraphic, email or fax submissions not accepted.
• Documents to complete: SBD1, SBD3.2 (Pricing), SBD4 (Declaration of Interest), SBD6.1 (Preference Points) plus Pricing Schedule; pricing must be VAT inclusive. (see Pricing_Schedule.xlsx)
