Overview

PANEL FOR THE PROVISION OF EXECUTIVE SECURITY SERVICES FOR GSDM FOR A PERIOD OF 36 MONTHS. This procurement seeks PSIRA-registered security vendors to provide VIP/static and dynamic close-protection services to GSDM office bearers and officials (e.g., Executive Mayor, Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Speaker, Whip) on a 24-hour basis, with a two-shift system and capacity to scale per SAPS threat assessments (as needed). Bidding is open to experienced providers with relevant qualifications and certifications.

Requirements

• PSIRA registration for the company (and where relevant, personnel) and evidence to be requested during award.
• SAPS Firearms Accreditation Certificate and evidence of designated firearms for executive protection.
• Number of firearms: 2–8 licensed firearms designated for executive protection; may require sworn affidavit with details and valid licenses.
• Minimum experience: at least 5 years in armed executive protection/VIP security; two contactable client references; company registration documents showing establishment date.
• Evidence of training and qualifications: Close Protection training, First Aid (Level 3), Firearm Competency, Defensive Driving; PSIRA grades for deployed personnel; comprehensive background checks.
• Confidentiality, professional conduct, and NDA; standard of appearance and conduct.
• Vehicles/equipment as required (armoured/unarmoured vehicles, comms, gear).
• Tax and compliance: SARS PIN, Tax Clearance and/or SARS e-Filing PIN, CSD registration where applicable.
• Municipal and state compliance: municipal clearance for arrears; no bids from persons in the service of the state.
• Returnable documents and forms (MBD1, Form A–L, Form D, etc.) completed and submitted.
