Overview

Appointment of a panel of 15 professional service providers (civil engineering works) for projects in the financial years 2027/2028, 2028/2029 and 2029/2030. Greater Taung Local Municipality invites open bids for a panel to cover planning, design, construction monitoring and close-out of civil engineering works as and when needed (tender GTLM/INFR04/2026/2027). Closing date/time: 13 October 2026 at 12:00. Submission is to the GTLM tender box address.

Requirements

• Compliance with SCM policies and PPPFA with 80/20 (price/quality) points; functionality threshold of 70 points to qualify for price/BBEE evaluation.
• Returnable documents (to be included with the bid): MBD 1, MBD 3.1 (Price schedule), MBD 4 (Declaration of Interest), MBD 6.1 (Preference points), MBD 6.2 (Local Content), MBD 7.1, MBD 9; Company registration, CSD report, Tax clearance or TCS PIN, BBBEE documents; JV agreement where applicable.
• Professional indemnity insurance: minimum twice the tendered professional fee, valid for all claims during the policy period.
• Evidence of professional registration for key personnel (e.g., Pr Eng/Pr Tech or equivalents); organograms and CVs with certified IDs.
• Subcontracting: not allowed to subcontract the whole contract; prior written consent required for parts.
• Signatories: original authority resolutions; signatory must be properly authorized.
• Site/info meetings: no compulsory briefing session (per tender terms); attendance not required to bid.
• Local content: declaration required under MBD 6.2 (designated sector rules apply if relevant).

How to Apply

• How to obtain documents: Bid documents are available from the Greater Taung Local Municipality Finance Department during office hours (08:00–15:00) at Station Street, Taung; a non-refundable deposit of R1,000 is required on collection (see attached documents GTLM/INFR04/2026/2027 and the tender adverts).
• Submission method: sealed bids in a clearly marked envelope, placed in the GTLM tender box at the Municipal Administration Offices, Station Street, Taung (8580).
• Documents to submit: complete original tender document in ink, signed by an authorized signatory; all returnable documents listed above; proof of CSD and tax compliance; JV documents if applicable; Joint venture authority resolutions; certified copies where required.
• Registrations/pre-qualifications: Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration; SARS Tax Compliance; BBBEE documentation; professional registrations for key personnel.
• Briefing: no compulsory briefing session (documented in Terms of Reference).
