Overview

Panel of Contractors for the maintenance of Water Treatment Works, Wastewater Works and Pump Stations for a period of three years as and when required. The Moqhaka Local Municipality invites bids from service providers to form up to five panel contractors based on scoring, with quotations requested on a rotation basis and prices fixed for the first year (escalation in year 2 per SLA). Suitable bidders include CIDB-registered contractors with capacity for water/wastewater plant maintenance, electrical/mechanical works, meters, automation, telemetry, and related mechanical/electrical services.

Requirements

• CIDB grading: 6ME or above (and proof of CIDB registration).
• Tax/compliance: valid Tax Clearance Certificate or SARS PIN; SARS pre-award where applicable.
• Registrations: proof of Centralised Supplier Database (CSD) registration; valid CIDB; municipal rates/charges compliance.
• Personal/Company docs: IDs of company directors; company registration (CIPC CK); B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; bank details.
• Mandatory documentation: MBD forms (MBD1, MBD4, MBD5, MBD6.1, MBD7.1, MBD8, MBD9) and pricing schedule; evidence of compliance to specifications.
• Attendance: compulsory site briefing/meeting attendance (05 Aug 2026).
• Additional capacity: evidence of equipment/skills to perform maintenance across water/wastewater plants, pumps, meters, automation, MCC/PLC, and related works.
