Overview

This tender seeks to establish a PANEL OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICE PROVIDERS (36 MONTHS) for ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANTS (Cluster 6). Re-advertised by uMzimkhulu Local Municipality to invite reputable environmental consultancies; bidders should have a B-Tech/BSc in Environmental Management, be registered as a Professional Environmentalist with EAPASA, and have at least 7 years of relevant experience. Requirements

• Must be registered on Central Suppliers Database (CSD) with proof or provide CSD registration number.
• Complete MBD forms: MBD4, 6.1, 8 & 9; Certificate of Authority to sign all documents; signed by an authorized person on company letterhead.
• Tender documents must be signed by an authorized person.
• 80/20 Preference Point System and Functionality in line with uMzimkhulu SCM policy; Specific Goals will be considered when obtaining quotations.
• Evaluation: Second-phase criteria include
  • Relevant experience: up to 10 EI A/Ecological projects in past 15 years; attach signed appointment letters and reference letters.
  • Expertise: B-Tech/BSc Environmental Management; 7 years’ experience; registered as Professional Environmentalist with EAPASA; attach detailed CVs and qualifications with proof of registration.
• Specific Goals: ownership by SA citizens affects points (100% SA citizen = 20 points; 50% SA citizen = 10 points; <50% SA citizen = 5 points).
• Price validity: 180 days.
• Document integrity: non-submission or invalid documents will render the tenderer disqualified.
• Document cost: R300 per document.

How to Apply

• Tender documents: available on the municipal website and from the cashier at 169 Main Street, uMzimkhulu; cost R300 (non-refundable); hours 09:30–16:00, from 01 Sep 2026; cut-off 03 Sep 2026, 15 minutes before briefing.
