Overview

KeNHA invites bids for a Performance Based Contract and Drainage Maintenance of the Buxton–Likoni (A7-R) Road. Eligible bidders must be registered with the National Construction Authority in NCA categories 5, 6 or 7 and may include Youth via AGPO; work is funded via the Road Maintenance Levy Fund.

Requirements

• Copy of Certificate of incorporation

• Copy of Valid NCA Annual Practising Licence (classes 5–7)

• Copy of Valid Tax Compliance Certificate

• Copy of recent CR 12 (issued within 6 months from tender opening)

• Copy of AGPO registration in the Youth category

• Serialise all tender pages

• Copy of PBC certificate for at least one Director

• Similar previous experience; qualified professional/technical personnel; current workload

• Eligibility: max two tenders; directors with FY2025–2026 awards not eligible; JV rules; ongoing works disqualify; only in indicated NCA category; compliance with PPADA Sec. 157

• Foreign inputs: 40% local content requirement; NCA registration for local contractors; JV exemptions if applicable

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 16 July 2026, 09:00 (local time)
• Submission method: plain sealed envelope/file to the Coast Region; delivered to the Office of the Regional Director – Coast Region or placed in the Tender Box at KeNHA Coast Regional Office, Mombasa (as per tender notice)
• Documents to submit: Form of Tender, priced Bills of Quantities, Tender Security or declaration, JV agreement if applicable, qualification documents (as per ITT 19), and any other documents specified in the Tender Data Sheet (TDS)
• Registrations/pre-qualifications: NCA (categories 5–7); AGPO Youth; Tax clearance; CR12; registration for access to government opportunities
• Site briefing: mandatory pre-tender site visit (1 July 2026, 10:00) at Buxton Petrol Station (see Detailed Long Tender Notice)
• Clarifications: questions to procurement@kenha.co.ke; responses to all bidders
• Documents availability: free from KeNHA website or PPIP
• Opening: tenders opened soon after submission, in the KeNHA Coast Regional Office in Mombasa (board room) with attendees welcome
