Overview

Procurement of a Performance Based Contract for the maintenance and safety enhancement of the Ahero-Kericho (A12) Road in Kenya; eligible bidders are NCA-registered contractors (Categories NCA 3–5) and the project is funded by the Road Maintenance Fuel Levy Fund (RMLF). Requirements

Mandatory qualifications (to be submitted with the bid):

• Copy of Certificate of incorporation
• Copy of Valid National Construction Authority Annual Practising Licence (classes 3/4/5)
• Copy of Valid Tax Compliance Certificate
• Copy of CR 12 form (issued within last 6 months from tender opening)
• A PBC certificate for at least one director
• Pages of the tender submitted serialized

Other key eligibility/compliance:

• No bidder with ongoing works as of tender closing/opening; directors’ eligibility rules for multiple bids
• Maximum two tenders per bidder, with at most one award; JV rules apply
• Foreign bidders must source at least 40% of inputs from national suppliers; evidence required
• Registration with NCA is mandatory; PPRA/debarment checks applicable
• Compliance with environmental and other statutory requirements
