Overview

This tender is for a Performance-Based Contract for the maintenance of Londiani – Fort Tenan (B132) Road. It is open to eligible construction firms registered with the National Construction Authority in categories NCA 5–7, with AGPO WOMEN status, and who meet the pre-qualification and site-visit requirements. Funding is through the Road Maintenance Fuel Levy Fund (RMLF).

Requirements

• Mandatory qualifications (submit with bid):
  • Copy of Certificate of incorporation
  • Copy of Valid NCA Annual Practising Licence (classes 5–7)
  • Copy of Valid Tax Compliance Certificate
  • Copy of CR 12 form (issued within last 6 months)
  • Copy of AGPO registration for WOMEN
  • Serialisation of all tender pages
  • Copy of PBC Certificate for at least one Director
• Other eligibility/qualification:
  • Similar previous experience; professional/technical personnel; current workload
  • Bidding limits: max two tenders per bidder; max one award; disqualification for exceeding limits
  • Directors with existing/finalised tenders in FY 2025-2026 disqualified; cross-ownership restrictions for joint ventures
  • Compliance with PPADA 2015 preferences; prohibition on canvassing
  • Foreign bidders: minimum 40% local inputs; NCA registration required by contract award
  • Local registration and ownership rules for JVs and foreign bidders

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 16 July 2026 at 09:00 (TDS/Tender Notice guidance) (see TENDER DOCUMENT).
• Submission method: plain sealed envelope to the Procuring Entity, clearly marked with tender name and reference; include ORIGINAL and required COPIES; copies for any applicable alternative tender.
• Documents to submit: Form of Tender, priced Bills of Quantities, Tender Security or Tender-Securing Declaration, JV Agreement or Form of Intent (if applicable), qualifications, technical proposal, and any other documents per ITT 13 (see TENDER DOCUMENT).
• Pre-qualifications/registrations: NCA registration (5–7), AGPO WOMEN, tax compliance, CR12, etc. (see TENDER DOCUMENT).
• Site visit/briefing: mandatory pre-tender site visit on 1 July 2026 at 10:30 am at Londiani junction A12/B132 (Long Tender Notice). Attendance and questions are coordinated per the detailed tender notice (see LONG TENDER NOTICE).
• Documents access: tender documents available free from KeNHA website or PPIP portal (see TENDER DOCUMENT).
• Clarifications and addenda: issued as Addenda and published on KeNHA/PPIP portals; bid submission must reflect any changes (see ITT 10-12).
• Opening: tenders opened soon after the deadline in the KeNHA South Rift Regional Office Board Room (Nakuru) in the presence of bidders.
