Overview

This tender seeks a PERFORMANCE-BASED CONTRACT FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF MBWEKAS - MAYONI - EKERO (B12) ROAD. Bids are invited from eligible contractors registered with the National Construction Authority in NCA categories 4, 5 or 6, with preference for WOMEN-owned firms (AGPO), in the Western region, funded via the Road Maintenance Fuel Levy Fund (RMLF).

Requirements

• Mandatory documents with bid:
  • Copy of Certificate of incorporation;
  • Copy of valid NCA Annual Practising Licence (classes 4–6);
  • Copy of valid Tax Compliance Certificate;
  • Copy of CR12 form (issued within last 6 months);
  • Copy of AGPO Registration (WOMEN category);
  • Serialised tender pages;
  • PBC Certificate for at least one director.
• Other: relevant prior experience, qualified personnel, current workload; compliance with PPADA Section 157; no canvassing; JV rules and limits (max two tenders per bidder, max one award; directors’ eligibility; ongoing works restrictions); 40% local inputs for foreign bidders; NCA registration requirement before award; environmental/tax obligations.

How to Apply

• Deadline: 16 July 2026 at 09:00.
• Submission: plain sealed envelope(s) containing the tender package; deliver to KeNHA Western Regional Office (and tender box per instructions in the Tender Notice). Tender opening follows submission.
• Documents to submit: Form of Tender, priced Bills of Quantities, Tender Security or Securing Declaration, JV documents if any, authorization, qualifications, conformity, and any other documents required by the TDS (Section IV).
• Pre-qualifications/registrations: NCA registration (4–6), AGPO WOMEN, Tax Compliance; registration with NCA prior to contract award.
• Mandatory pre-tender site visit: 1 July 2026 (11:00) at Junction A12/B12, Korinda, Busia (details in TENDER NOTICE).
