Overview

This is a Performance Based Contract for maintenance of road lighting on Gateway Overpass – Crystal Rivers Mall – KeNHA Corridor A Office (A8/Q39) Road. Bids are open to construction firms registered with NCA in Electrical classes (1–6) and EPRA in Class A, B or C. Funding is via Road Maintenance Fuel Levy Fund (RMLF). The works cover ongoing maintenance of lighting, with potential rehabilitation or improvement tasks as defined in the tender data.

Requirements

• Mandatory submission with bid: Certificate of Incorporation; valid NCA Annual Practising Licence (Electrical classes); valid EPRA Annual Practising Licence; Tax Compliance Certificate; recent CR 12 (issued within 6 months); PBC Certificate for at least one director; serialisation of tender pages; company introductory letter authorising representative (hard copy) (TENDER DOCUMENT).
• Other qualification criteria: relevant similar experience; qualified professional/technical personnel; current workload; compliance with PPADA 2015 and related fair competition provisions.
• Eligibility and restrictions: max two tenders per bidder, but award limited to one; directors active in other awards FY2025–2026 not eligible; JV rules apply; Kenyan ownership requirements for foreign participation; NCA registration required before contract award; environmental and safety compliance.
• Materials: origin, subcontracting limits (foreign JV caps), and related procurement rules as per ITT 4 and Section III.
