Overview

Performance Based Contract for the Maintenance of UKASI - BANGALI (A3) Road (ALL). The Kenya National Highways Authority invites bids from NCA-registered contractors (Categories 4, 5 or 6) for maintenance funded via the Road Maintenance Fuel Levy Fund (RMLF). Submit bids from KeNHA North Eastern Regional Office Garissa; closing on 16 July 2026 at 09:00.

Requirements

• Mandatory submission with bid:
  • Copy of Certificate of Incorporation
  • Copy of valid NCA Annual Practising Licence (classes 4–6)
  • Copy of valid Tax Compliance Certificate
  • Copy of CR-12 form (issued within last 6 months)
  • Serialise all tender pages
  • Copy of PBC Certificate for at least one Director
• Other eligibility/compliance: similar previous experience, qualified professional personnel, current workload; max two tenders per bidder but only one may be awarded; directors bidding for the same tender via different companies disqualified; ongoing works as of closing date exclude eligibility; must be registered in indicated NCA category; comply with PPADA Section 157 (preferences); canvassing leads to disqualification; foreign bidders must meet 40% local input requirement.

• Key steps: mandatory pre-tender site visit (details in the detailed tender notice); questions in writing by deadline; minutes and addenda issued as per ITT; ensure all required forms (e.g., Form ELI series, tender forms) are completed (see TENDER DOCUMENT). A technical person with a Diploma in Civil/Highway Engineering must accompany the site visit team (see tender document).
