Overview

Periodic maintenance of Luanda - Majengo - Gisiamba (B127) Road in Kenya’s Western Region, funded by the Road Maintenance Levy Fund (RMLF); KeNHA invites eligible contractors to bid. Bidders must be registered with the National Construction Authority (NCA) in categories NCA 3, 4 or 5.

Requirements

• Mandatory submissions with bid:
• Copy of Certificate of Incorporation
• Copy of valid NCA Annual Practising Licence (classes 3–5)
• Copy of valid Tax Compliance Certificate
• Copy of recent CR 12 form (issued within last 6 months)
• Other eligibility: similar prior experience, qualified professional/technical personnel, current workload
• Bidder restrictions: max two tenders per bidder per year; cannot be awarded more than one; directors/companies rules; strict avoidance of canvassing; 40% local inputs for foreign bidders; NCA registration required prior to contract signature

How to Apply

• Mandatory pre-tender site visit: 2 July 2026 at Luanda junction (details in TENDER NOTICE)
• Submit by: 16 July 2026, 09:00 (local time) in a sealed envelope to the Western Region office or Tender Box (Kakamega reception) (TENDER DOCUMENT)
• Include: Form of Tender, priced Bill of Quantities, Tender Security or Tender-Securing Declaration, Joint Venture agreement if applicable, authorization to sign, qualifications, and technical proposal (conformity)
• Registration: ensure NCA registration in required class; meet any pre-qualification requirements; foreign bidders must demonstrate 40% local content
• Clarifications: questions to procurement@kenha.co.ke; responses and addenda will follow per ITT/TD Sections (TDS)
• Document handling: serialise all tender pages; bind securely; mark originals/copies as required (TENDER DOCUMENT)
