PERIODIC MAINTENANCE OF MATOPE ROAD IN SITIKHO WARD

Overview

Procurement of periodic maintenance works for Matope Road in Sitikho Ward, Bungoma County, open to all qualified road-construction contractors with NCA registration (NCA 8+). Eligible bidders must meet standard ITT prerequisites (registration, tax compliance, NCA road works registration, etc.).

Requirements

• Valid tax compliance certificate/exemption (KRA).
• NCA road works registration (NCA 8 or above) with a valid annual practicing licence.
• CR12 certificate for a limited company (recent, within 6 months).
• KRA PIN/VAT certificate.
• AGPO registration (if applying under Women/Youth/PWD categories).
• Tender security or tender securing declaration; duly completed forms.
• Duly filled, signed, stamped tender forms and Bills of Quantities; Confidential Business Questionnaire.
• Valid Single Business Permit; copies of directors’ national IDs.
• JV considerations: if a joint venture is formed, terms in the tender and JV agreement apply (maximum members per TDS).
• Compliance with anti-corruption, independence, and no conflicts of interest (Certificate of Independent Tender Determination).
• Site visit/pre-bid attendance is mandatory (see below); bids submitted via IFMIS portal only.
• Foreign tenderers: at least 40% of inputs must be sourced locally.

• Submission method: electronically via IFMIS Supplier Portal; no manual submissions (ADVERT).
• Documents to submit: Form of Tender, completed Bills of Quantities, Tender Security or Securing Declaration, JV documents if applicable, Qualifications documentation, Confidential Business Questionnaire, and any other items in the tender data sheet (TDS) and forms.
• Pre-qualifications/registrations required: NCA road-works registration, tax clearance, AGPO where applicable, KRA PIN/VAT, CR12, SBP.
• Briefing/site visit: mandatory pre-tender site visit on 10 November 2026 at 10:00, Department of Roads, Infrastructure and Public Works boardroom; site visit certificate issued as evidence of attendance (ADVERT).
