PLACEMENT OF HAEMOGLOBINOPATHY ANALYSER INCLUDING SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE FOR GROOTE SCHUUR LABORATORY FOR A PERIOD OF FIVE (5) YEARS.

Overview

NHLS seeks bids for the placement of a haemoglobinopathy analyser including service and maintenance at Groote Schuur Laboratory for a five-year period. Bidders should be suppliers of haemoglobinopathy analysers and related laboratory instrumentation, with capability for installation, ongoing service, and regulatory-compliant support in a public-health lab context.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to supply an analyser matching NHLS technical spec (Annexure A) and provide a five-year service/maintenance contract, including on-site support and training.
• Compliance with NHLS bidding rules: complete mandatory documents (e.g., Schedule 2 mandatory documents such as Tax Clearance/CSD, B-BBEE, SBD4) and attend the compulsory briefing.
• Tax compliance: valid Tax Clearance PIN or active CSD status; separate TCS for consortia/subcontractors.
• B-BBEE: valid verification certificate or sworn affidavit; preference points claimed where applicable.
• Manufacturer/product compliance: ISO 13485; IMDRF regulatory approvals (FDA/CE or equivalents).
• Security and OH&S: required security clearances, non-disclosure obligations, and Occupational Health and Safety considerations.
