Overview

Procurement of an automated pre-analytical planting and streaking machine for microbiology, including service, maintenance and consumables for five years. NHLS invites bids from medical laboratory equipment suppliers and service providers capable of automated pre-analytical processing, LIS interfacing, and long-term support (quality systems such as ISO 13485 and regulatory alignment).

Requirements

• Compliance with PPPFA/GCC and NHLS General/Special Conditions; sign the contract form (SBD7) and bid on official NHLS forms.
• Tax/compliance: valid Tax Clearance or Tax Compliance PIN; CSD registration; B-BBEE status verified; Bid Disclosure (SBD4).
• Technical prerequisites:
  • Pre-analytical automated planting and streaking; automated decapping/recapping of multiple containers; bid must show manual/brochure or commitment.
  • Bi-directional interface capability with NHLS LIS (TrakCare).
  • ISO 13485 compliance; IMDRF regulatory approvals; OHS compliance; COIDA good standing.
  • On-site engineering support within 24 hours; 30-minute UPS capability; delivery in 4–8 weeks; installation at bidder’s cost; downtime loan instrument.
• Documentation and process: Annexure A (Technical Specification), Annexure B (Pricing Schedule); complete all mandatory and essential returnables; two-envelope submission (BID/Proposal and PRICING).
• Training, maintenance, consumables, and preventative maintenance included.
