Overview

Pre-qualification for supply and delivery of umbrellas. Bungoma County (Kenya) invites suppliers to prequalify for Contract BGM/CNTY/27/2026-2028 to supply and deliver umbrellas, as a step toward subsequent tendering. The process is open to eligible suppliers meeting the prequalification criteria; documents can be viewed/downloaded from PPIP (www.tenders.go.ke) or obtained from the County’s Supply Chain Management Office (see Tender No. 27 document).

Requirements

• Eligibility, anti-corruption, and conflict-of-interest compliance; PPRA audit rights; no collusive practices.
• JV rules: may form a joint venture with defined exclusive representatives; members liable; no double-tendering.
• Financial capability: demonstrate liquidity/credit, show adequate finance for current/future works, and provide audited statements for the required period.
• Minimum turnover/experience thresholds to be specified in the PDS; ensure substantial completion criteria are met for contracts.
• Documents to submit: Application Letter; Eligibility declarations; Qualifications information; Tax Compliance Certificate (KRA), PIN/VAT, trading license, CR-12, Confidential Business Questionnaire, company profile; tender documents serialized; etc.
• Other: no sanctioned/debarred status; no prequalification conflicts; evidence of ownership/control as required.

How to Apply

• Deadline: 29 June 2026, 10:00 local time (submission by post, courier, or hand delivery). Electronically submissions are not permitted.
• Submission address/method: sealed envelope(s) marked with the prequalification details, submitted to the County Commissioner Bungoma’s office; tender box outside the County Commissioner’s entrance (P.O. Box 550-200 Bungoma).

  • Eligibility and Qualifications forms (ELI-1.1, ELI-1.2; Form FIN-3.1, FIN-3.2; EXP forms)
  • Attachments: tax clearance (KRA), PIN/VAT, trading license, CR-12, AGPO certificate if applicable, Confidential Business Questionnaire, company profile; tender documents must be serialized.
• Briefing/site visits: not applicable (no pre-application meeting or site visit indicated).
• Where to obtain documents: Public Procurement Information Portal (PPIP) or Bungoma Supply Chain Management Office; hard copies available for a fee (KSh 1,000); electronic copies free.
