Pressure test and calibration of fuel bowser tanks

Overview

Provision of pressure test and calibration services for fuel bowser tanks at the EL MPT fuel station, including maintenance and calibration work. Bid should interest respondents with fuel station maintenance, calibration/testing, pressure testing, tank calibration, and related engineering/compliance capabilities; familiarity with safety, testing standards, and relevant procurement rules (SARS tax compliance, B-BBEE, CSD) is required.

Requirements

• Tax compliance: SARS PIN or Tax Compliance Status (TCS); separate TCS for each JV/consortium; if no TCS, provide CSD number.
• B-BBEE: provide B-BBEE status verification or sworn affidavit; evidence required for goal-based scoring.
• Returnable documents: completed pricing schedule; SBD1; RFQ Declaration and Breach of Law Form; Protection of Personal Information.
• Evaluation: Price (80) and B-BBEE (20).
• Specific Goals: evidence of B-BBEE level and, if applicable, Black Youth Ownership.
• Validity: bid validity period of 90 business days from closing date.
• Miscellaneous: late submissions disqualified; Transnet may request additional information or audit evidence; each bidder must submit via its own profile in the e-tender portal.

• Submission deadline: 02 November 2026 at 23:00 (late tenders disqualified).
• Submission method: electronic via the Transnet eSupplier Portal (TDPS); upload bid documents there (max 30 MB per upload).
• Documents to complete/submit: pricing schedule; SBD1; RFQ Declaration and Breach of Law Form; Protection of Personal Information; any other required forms (see RFQ).
• Pre-qualifications/registrations: register on the Transnet e-tender portal; each company must use its own profile.
• Managing documents: ensure electronic pricing is completed in portal; no paper pricing accepted.
