PROCUREMENT OF A SPARE TRANSFORMER FOR KPONG GENERATING STATION (KGS)

Overview

Procurement of a spare generator step-up transformer for KPONG Generating Station (KGS) to design, manufacture, test, supply and transport a 3-phase, 169/13.8 kV, 51 MVA transformer to Akosombo, Ghana. Open to transformer manufacturers and electrical equipment suppliers worldwide for a bank‑financed project (EIB). The contract targets a 12‑month delivery window and requires capability to execute engineering and supply for the Kpong site.

Requirements

How to Apply

2. Prepare a sealed bid: sign by an authorized representative, provide three copies in addition to the original, and mark the outer envelope as required. Address to Director, Engineering Services Department, Volta River Authority, P.O. Box 77, Akuse.
3. Submit by 04 Nov 2026, 13:00 GMT in English at the Conference Room, VRA Engineering Services Building, Akuse. The bid must be clearly marked and contain the tender reference.
