Overview

Procurement of furniture for the University of Fort Hare’s Research and Innovation Office (RFQ 0121.SM/2026). Bidders should supply and install office furniture, with preference for an East Cape-based provider (East London preferred) and prior experience supplying to higher education. Compliance with government procurement requirements is expected (BBBEE, tax clearance, CSD registration) and the supplier must meet the attached specifications for the furniture.

Requirements

• Mandatory registrations and certifications: CSD registration and a valid Tax Clearance Certificate.
• Compliance with BBBEE and the 80/20 (price) / 20 (specific goals) evaluation framework; bid value is envisaged not to exceed R50m.
• Complete and submit pricing documentation and related standard forms: Pricing Declaration Form and the set of SBD forms (SBD 4, SBD 6.1, SBD 7.2, SBD 8, SBD 9).
• Respond fully to the attached specifications for furniture (see RFQ 0121.SM/2026 and attached DRI furniture spec).
• Optional but relevant: bid responses may be evaluated against the DRI furniture specifications (e.g., Apprentice HB chair, Chrome executive chair, etc.). (DRI-Specification-furniture.pdf)
