Overview

Procurement of Hygienic Insect Control Systems (Glue-Board Insect Light Traps) for Zomba Central Hospital’s Kitchen, Dietary Prep and Food Storage areas, including installation, maintenance and related services. This RFQ (ZCH/RFQ/INSECT/TRAPPER/10/26) invites Malawi-registered suppliers to quote in Malawi Kwacha; bids must comply with Sections 2-9 of the RFQ documents. The goods must be new, delivered to ZCH, with delivery in 8 days from order and quotation validity of 30 days. The accompanying RFQ documents are attached (Procurement of Insect Trapper for Catering Dept.).

Requirements

• Malawi registration and qualification to supply goods; provide business registration, trading licence and tax clearance.
• Technical/compliance: HACCP suitability; CE marking and IEC 60335-2-59 or equivalent; ISO 9001; minimum IP20 enclosure (IP65 for wet areas); 220–240 V AC ±15% tolerance; automatic restart after power cut; 2 m cable with 3‑pin Type G plug or suitable terminal block; grounded or Class II; specified power consumption; operating range 5–45 C and 90% RH.
• Mechanical and lamp specs: corrosion‑resistant construction (304 stainless steel or similar), flush wall mounting, tool‑free access, high‑tack glue boards with monitoring grid; 365 nm UV‑A lamps, shatterproof with sleeve; LED option with ≥25,000 h or fluorescent ≥9,000 h; guidance on safe lamp disposal.
• Consumables and maintenance: exact part numbers, local Malawi supply, lead times; initial 12‑month consumables stock per unit.
• Warranty and after‑sales: minimum 2‑year chassis and components; 5‑year LED driver if LED; 90‑day free replacement of defective lamps; warranty valid under Malawi mains; 30‑day parts delivery; spare parts available for 5 years after model discontinuation.
• Delivery/installation: phased deployment; 14‑day submittals; 60 days delivery post‑approval; off‑peak installation; post‑mounting testing; 15‑minute user briefing and English guide.
• Evaluation and compliance: lowest responsive quotation; evidence like brand/model, datasheet, photos, two comparable installations; beneficial ownership disclosure.
