Overview

Procurement of professional civil and structural engineering services for Amazizi Traditional Council. Open tender by the Eastern Cape Department of Public Works and Infrastructure, targeting PSPs with CIDB Professional Services registration and ECSA-registered personnel to deliver civil/structural design and related services in Amathole.

Requirements

• At least one company director must be registered with ECSA as Professional Engineer, Professional Engineering Technologist, or Technician; proof of registration required.
• Tax matters must be in order; proof via CSD report; not in Treasury’s restricted suppliers list.
• Bidder must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with proof included.
• Returnable documents: CVs/Qualifications and proof of registration for proposed project team; at least two project references (past/current/tender) with appointment letters.
• Insurer undertaking: provide Professional Indemnity insurance/undertaking within 21 days of appointment.
• Pricing must follow the latest guidelines for Professional Fees (Board Notice 783 of 2025) and be in RSA Rand (VAT handling as applicable).
• Tender evaluated in two stages (Stage 1: compliance; Stage 2: PPPFA/Specific Goals); 80/20 price-goal split; no alternative tenders; 120-day bid validity.
• If applicable, joint ventures must submit JV agreement and proof of capacity; travel distances to site remunerated as specified.
