Overview

Procurement of specialised industrial paint for lead pots and materials used in the Nuclear Medicine Department at iThemba LABS, Cape Town. This RFQ targets paint suppliers with experience coating surfaces in radioactive environments, capable of providing a full finish including accessories, MSDS and technical datasheets, and who can meet PCR/PPPFA requirements (80/20) and B-BBEE compliance.

Requirements

• On Central Supplier Database (CSD) and tax compliant; provide CSD Summary Report and tax PIN; include B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit.
• Complete and submit mandatory documents: SBD 4 (Bidder disclosure) and SBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim) with pricing and B-BBEE proof.
• Provide Pricing Schedule, Technical Data Sheet, MSDS, and examples of product finishing (images).
• Paint must meet strict specifications (polyurethane topcoat, 100 µm DFT, UV stable, anti-corrosive to C3H/C4M/C5L, 20–50°C bake, suitable for spray or conventional application, resistant to radioactivity, compatible with radioactive environments).
• Supplier to provide paints in named colours and related accessories (thinners, hardeners, scuff pads, etc.) as per the Pricing Schedule.
• Delivery lead time and firm price inclusive of VAT; payment terms 30 days from invoice; advance payment only with approved payment guarantee.
• Evaluation includes administrative compliance, functionality, price and B-BBEE; PPPFA/80/20 applies; registration on CSD required.
