Overview

Production, supply and delivery of four ceremonial municipal robes for Stellenbosch Municipality tailored for the Executive Mayor, Deputy Executive Mayor, Speaker of Council and Municipal Manager, with on-site measurements, a final fitting and delivery in protective garment bags. Target bidders are manufacturers with bespoke/made‑to‑measure garment capability, access to premium ceremonial fabrics and trims, and the capacity to deliver within the municipality’s procurement framework.

Requirements

• Bidder must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and comply with Stellenbosch SCM policies.
• Tax compliance: provide SARS Tax Compliance Status (TCS) PIN or certificate; foreign bidders must complete Part B:3; follow SARS e-filing if applicable.
• BBBEE: supply a BBBEE status level certificate or sworn affidavit; locality points apply if premises are within Stellenbosch; proof required.
• Complete and submit MBD forms with pricing schedule (MBD1, MBD3.1, MBD4, MBD6.1, MBD8, MBD9) and municipal services certificate; bidder’s municipal account not older than 90 days.
• If involved in a consortium, each party must provide separate TCS/PIN/CSD; if no TCS, provide CSD number.
• Compliance with GCC and any special conditions; preference points awarded on 80/20 basis (price 80; BBBEE 10; locality 10).
• Technical specifications require four individually tailored ceremonial robes, fabric polyester cashmere or equivalent, on-site measuring, final fitting, color continuity with existing robes, protective bags, and a minimum 12-month warranty.

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 15 October 2026 at 14:00; bids deposited in the Stellenbosch bid box (Main Hall Entrance, Plein Street) in a sealed envelope, with the FQ number and title on the outside. Late, faxed, or e‑mailed bids will not be accepted (FQ/SM 87/27).
