Overview

The Department seeks a service provider to site, drill, test and equip a borehole at Farm Meadows No. 39 IQ and a portion of Portion 4 of Platklip No. 40, West Rand District, Gauteng. Bidder must have CIDB grading 2CE or higher and be capable of delivering siting, Odex/air percussion drilling, yield testing, and installation of pumping, piping, and storage facilities in a rural farm setting. Site briefing and adherence to SABS/SANS standards are required.

Requirements

• CIDB grading of 2CE or higher.
• Compulsory site briefing; only quotes for applicable scope will be paid; quotes must include supply, delivery, and installation.
• Form of Offer must be completed and signed by an authorized person.
• Compliance with SABS 1200 and relevant SANS standards; health and safety plan; COIDA clearance; tax clearance.
• Attendance at compulsory clarification meeting (site briefing) and adherence to correction/price-update rules.
• Conditions of contract based on SAISC 2015 General Conditions; 12-month defects liability; 3-month practical completion; 10% retention; 90-day tender validity.
• Local content and preferences: 80/20 points system; specific goals for HDI, female, disability, youth; provide required declarations and proof.
