Overview

Procurement of works to complete a Twin One Bedroom Staff House at Lutsanga Dispensary in Kambe/Ribe Ward. This is an Open Tender by Kilifi County Government for the Department of Health Services and Sanitation to construct/complete a staff housing block (multidisciplinary engineering and project team required).

• Target bidders: civil/structural builders with healthcare-facility experience, and a multidisciplinary team (QS, Architect, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural Engineers, Project Manager). JV options allowed.

Requirements

• Tenderers must meet eligibility, avoid conflicts of interest, and comply with Kenyan procurement law (Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act, Competition Act) as outlined in the tender documents.
• Key qualifications and prerequisites:
  • Tender security: KSh 126,000 (from a bank/insurance) or tender-securing declaration.
  • Registration: National Construction Authority (NCA) registration before contract signature; eligibility to tender noted, with JV rules if applicable.
  • Tax compliance: valid Kenya Revenue Authority tax clearance.
  • Local content: foreign bidders must source at least 40% of inputs locally.
  • JV: if formed, joint liability for the contract and a nominated representative.
  • Documentation: Form of Tender, priced Bill of Quantities, technical proposal, JV agreements (if any), and other forms required in the tender package.
