Overview

Procurement of a works contract for the construction of a model twin ECDE classrooms with offices and an ablution block at JUVENALIS GITAU ECDE in LARI-KIRENGA WARD. Kiambu County Government invites sealed bids via open national tender, with reservation for AGPO - Youth, for FY 2026/2027.

Requirements

• Eligibility and integrity: comply with Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act; provide Declaration of no corruption and Certificate of Independent Tender Determination; not debarred; no conflicts of interest.
• Joint ventures: JV allowed; maximum members as per TDS; JV must appoint a representative; include Joint Venture Agreement or letter of intent (see ITT 13.2).
• Local content and qualifications: foreign bidders must source at least 40% of inputs locally; all bidders must have National Construction Authority registration before contract signature; Kenyan tax clearance; anti-corruption and ownership disclosures.
• Tender documents and security: Form of Tender, priced Bills of Quantities, Tender Security or securing declaration, technical proposal, and qualifications documents as required (see ITT 13–19); page serialization and authenticity requirements.
• Other: site visit and pre-tender clarification as per TDS; documents to be submitted in English with translations if needed.

How to Apply

• Prepare and submit: Form of Tender, Schedule/BOQ, Tender Security or Declaration, JV documents if applicable, and technical proposals (see ITT references).
• Submission: drop-off sealed bid envelopes in the Tender Box at Kiambu Head Office, Ground Floor, Main Reception—Governor’s Office, by 10:00 on Friday 28 August 2026 (late tenders will be rejected) (see PDF).
• Opening: tenders opened publicly after the deadline, in the presence of attending tenderers (see PDF).
