Requirements

• AGPO-WOMEN eligibility; firms must be registered accordingly.
• Compliance with public procurement rules: no fraud/corruption; no debarment; avoid conflicts of interest; provide Independent Tender Determination where required.
• Eligibility and qualifications: private entities, any JV allowed (joint venture agreement or letter of intent); National Construction Authority registration required before contract signature; tax clearance; nationality rules for foreign bidders.
• Local content: foreign bidders must source at least 40% of inputs from Kenyan suppliers/contractors.
• Funding and contract mechanics: tender validity 126 days; currency in Kenya Shillings; tender security or equivalent as specified in the TDS.
• Other: site visit and/or pre-tender meeting if listed in the TDS; JV rules on ownership and liability.
