Overview

The County Government of Kiambu invites sealed tenders for the proposed construction of Kinale Roads. This open competition is reserved to AGPO-WOMEN category bidders. The procurement involves civil works for road construction; eligible bidders should be experienced in road/ civil works and meet national registration and integrity requirements.

Requirements

• AGPO-WOMEN eligibility and appropriate registration.
• Compliance with Public Procurement rules, no debarment; sign Certificate of Independent Tender Determination.
• National Construction Authority (NCA) registration; contract award to be conditioned on NCA registration.
• Tax clearance from Kenya Revenue Authority.
• Foreign bidders: minimum 40% local content for inputs (supplies, subcontracts, labor).
• Joint Ventures limited to 2 members (if applicable); full liability among JV members.
• No conflicts of interest; disclosure of owners/affiliates as required.
• Tender security or Tender-Securing Declaration as specified; pages serialised.
• Tender to be priced in Kenya Shillings; all information and documents in English (translations allowed where needed).

How to Apply

• Interested tenders must forward their particulars to tenders@kiambu.go.ke for clarifications/addenda.
• Submission method: hand-deliver in a sealed envelope to Kiambu HQ; drop-off at ground floor, Governor’s reception. Mark as ORIGINAL and include COPIES per ITT requirements.
• Closing date: 7 September 2026 at 12:00 PM. Late tenders will be rejected.
• Documents to submit: Form of Tender, Bills of Quantities, Tender Security or Tender-Securing Declaration, qualifications, and any other documents per the TDS (including JV arrangements if applicable). (PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF KINALE ROADS)
