PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF MPEKETONI MULTI-PURPOSE HALL PHASE II

Overview

Procurement of the Proposed Construction of MPEKETONI MULTI-PURPOSE HALL PHASE II (hall construction works) and open to all qualified tenderers in an open national competition. The works are a construction project in Lamu County, with mandatory pre-tender briefing and site visit, and electronic submission of bids is acceptable.

Requirements

• Open competitive bidding; site visit and mandatory pre-tender briefing; bid security of Ksh 360,000; bid validity 120 days. (see PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF MPEKETONI MULTI-PURPOSE HALL PHASE II)
• Bids must be in Kenya Shillings, include all taxes, and include 0.03% Public Procurement Capacity Building Levy; currencies/price rules as specified. (see PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF MPEKETONI MULTI-PURPOSE HALL PHASE II)
• Tender security, evaluation, and pre-qualification requirements: National Construction Authority registration at contract award; tax compliance certificate; prohibition on debarred entities; 40% foreign input content rules for foreign bidders; JV rules if applicable. • Documents to submit include Form of Tender, priced Bills of Quantities, Joint Venture documents if any, and confirmations of authorisation; site inspection indemnities; and other documents listed in the Tender Documents. (see PART1 and ITT 11–12)

How to Apply

• Obtain tender documents from www.lamu.go.ke or www.tenders.go.ke (electronic access free; hard copies may incur a Ksh 1,000 fee). Interested tenders must forward their particulars to procurement@lamu.go.ke. (see PROPOSED… II)
• Attend the pre-tender briefing/site visit on 26 October 2026 (10:30–11:00) at Mpeketoni Vocational Training Centre; attendance is mandatory. (see ITT 7.1; II)
• Participate in the site visit and submit any clarifications in writing by the deadline; responses published on the websites. (see ITT 7.2–7.4)
• Submit bids via the IFMIS Supplier Portal by 03 November 2026 at 11:00; no manual submissions accepted. (see PROPOSED… II)
• Bids opened publicly after the deadline; standstill period applies if required. (see Section X–Y; II)
