Overview

The Kisii County Government invites bids for the proposed construction, repair and maintenance of roads in Bobasi Sub County (CGK/RDS/T/1/2026-2027), funded by the Road Maintenance Levy Fund. Requirements

• Eligibility: firms, state-owned entities or individuals; joint ventures allowed with a designated Representative; sole tenderers may not participate in multiple tenders for the same contract.
• Compliance: declarations on corruption and independent tender determination; permits audits of accounts/records related to procurement and contract performance.
• Local content and nationality: foreign bidders must source at least 40% of inputs locally; Kenyan ownership thresholds apply for foreign/Joint Ventures; National Construction Authority registration required; tax compliance (KRA) certificate.
• Licenses/registrations: National Construction Authority registration before performing construction works.
• Tender security: submission of a tender security or tender-securing declaration; validity aligned with tender period.
• Documentation: Form of Tender, priced Bills of Quantities, JV agreements (if applicable), qualifications, and technical proposal as required by the tender documents.
• Price basis: bids in Kenyan Shillings; include 0.03% PPRA Capacity Building Levy; currencies and potential price adjustments as specified in the tender data.
• Site access: tenderers encouraged to visit the site; site-related risk and methods to be noted in the tender.
