Overview

Proposed construction to completion of 1 classroom at Ikumbu Comprehensive School, Tharaka Constituency, is being procured through an open national tender. The NG-CDF Tharaka invites qualified builders/contractors with building-works experience to bid, including compliance with NCA registration, tax, and procurement rules. Foreign bidders must meet 40% local content where applicable, and bidders must be registered with the EGPS system.

Requirements

• NCA registration and practicing license (where applicable) for construction works.
• Valid tax compliance certificate.
• AGPO certificate (for Youth, Women & PWD) if applicable.
• Foreign bidders: evidence of at least 40% local content in inputs.
• Registration with the Electronic Government Procurement system (EGPS).
• Recent CR12 (or company/business registration) and a valid trading license.
• Duly filled Confidential Business Questionnaire; properly serialized and tape-bound tender documents.
• Form of Tender, joint venture agreement if JV is used, and tender security or tender securing declaration.
• Evidence of past works/experience.
• JV rules: max number of JV members as specified in the TDS; joint and several liability for contract execution.
• No conflicts of interest or debarment; comply with general eligibility and anti-corruption provisions.

How to Apply

• Closing date and time: 29 October 2026, 10:00 (IKUMBU PRY TENDER NOTICE). Tenders opened publicly after deadline.
• Submission method: sealed tender in hard copy; delivered to NG-CDF Tharaka (Marimanti Adjacent to Tharaka South Sub-county office). Electronic tenders are not permitted.
• Where to obtain/submit documents:
  • Obtain/buy tender documents (non-refundable fee) or download for free from NG-CDF Tharaka website or NG-CDF Portal (ngcdf.go.ke) or PPIP Portal (tenders.go.ke) (IKUMBU PRY TENDER NOTICE).
