Overview

Open tender for the construction to completion of 3 classrooms on the ground floor of a single-storey building at Bahari Primary School, targeting qualified contractors with NCA class 7 or higher. The project is expected to run about 6 months. A mandatory pre-tender site visit is scheduled for 29 July 2026, 9:30–10:00 at Bahari Primary School (BAHARI DPRI DOC).

Requirements

• Mandatory documents to submit with the bid (BAHARI DPRI DOC):
  • Certificate of Incorporation; valid Annual Practising License with NCA (class specified); PIN/VAT; Tax Compliance Certificate; CR 12 (last 9 months); Directors’ IDs; Mombasa Single Business Permit; Form of Tender; Confidential Business Questionnaire; Certificate of Independent Tender Determination; sequentially serialized tender pages; Pre-tender Site Visit Certificate signed/stamped by NG-CDF MVITA.
• Other requirements:
  • Relevant similar experience; CVs of professional/technical personnel; proof of financial capacity; no canvassing.
  • Tender documents to be serialized; mandatory pre-tender site visit certificate.
  • Compliance with NCA registration (prior to contract award) and Kenyan tax obligations.
  • Tender security of KES 200,000; non-refundable tender document fee of KES 1,000; price quotes in Kenyan Shillings; tender validity 210 days.

• Submission method: hard-copy tender in a sealed envelope to NG-CDF MVITA, or deposited in the tender box at the first-floor office; no electronic submissions permitted. Tender should be addressed to the Fund Account Manager, MVITA.
• Documents to submit: Form of Tender, priced Bills of Quantities, Tender Security, JV documents if applicable, and all required confirmations as per ITT 13.1 (BAHARI DPRI DOC).
• Registrations/pre-qualifications: NCA registration for the class; tax clearance; VAT/PIN; Mombasa County business permit; potential pre-qualification via standard forms.
• Briefing/site visit: mandatory pre-tender site visit on 29 July 2026 (9:30–10:00) at Bahari Primary; site visit certificate required.
