Overview

The procurement is for the proposed opening/maintenance of multiple roads in Migori County, Kenya (a works contract under an Open Tender). It targets road-construction/maintenance firms with Civil Engineering capabilities. Eligible bidders may bid solo or as a Joint Venture, subject to JS requirements and joint-venture documentation. Pre-tender briefing is mandatory, and a site visit will be held at MARANATHA.

Requirements

• Eligible bidders; Joint Ventures allowed with a JV agreement or letter of intent.
• For works contracts: registration with the National Construction Authority (NCA) and compliance with tax obligations; proof may be required before award.
• Kenyan tax clearance and general compliance; foreign bidders must meet local content requirements (minimum 40% local inputs) and may need registration with NCA before signature.
• Mandatory pre-tender site visit and briefing; attendees must present authorization letters, IDs, dipoma certificates, company registrations, and proof of current subscription.
• Documents to submit: Form of Tender, schedules (including priced BoQ), Tender Security or equivalent, qualifications, and joint venture documents if applicable; all pages serialized.
