Procurement of a Works Contract for the Proposed Renovation of five classrooms with verandah, elevation of the water tank tower, and renovation of the dormitory block at ACK Ematundu Secondary School for the Deaf. Requirements

• Eligibility and conduct: comply with anti-corruption and competitive practice rules; sign Certificate of Independent Tender Determination.
• Tenderer type: open to private firms, state-owned entities, or JVs (joint ventures) with liability shared among members.
• Key qualifications: National Construction Authority (NCA) registration; tax clearance; no debarment; integrity and conflict-of-interest disclosures.
• Local content: foreign bidders must source at least 40% of inputs from Kenyan suppliers.
• Tender security: include a security of KSh 38,000; security valid through tender validity (and extended if required).
• Documentation: complete Form of Tender, priced Schedule/BOQ, JV agreements if applicable, and other documents per ITT requirements.
• Pre-conditions: site visit/clarifications as per ITT; amendments only via addenda.

• Submission method: hard copy submissions delivered to ACK Ematundu Secondary School for the Deaf Principal’s Office; electronic submissions not permitted (Tender Document).
• Documents to submit: Form of Tender, priced Bill of Quantities, Tender Security or declaration, JV documents if applicable, eligibility and qualification evidence, technical proposal as specified (see ITT 13–18) (Tender Document).
• Registrations/pre-qualifications: NCA Registration before award; tax clearance; foreign bidders’ local content proof; debarment checks (Tender Document).
