Overview

Procurement of the upgrade of the PABX system at Eldoret International Airport. The Kenya Airports Authority (Open Tender) invites bids from telecom equipment suppliers, system integrators, and ICT/telecom installers with PABX experience. Requirements

• Eligibility, anti-corruption and non-debarment are mandatory (Certificate of Independent Tender Determination, anti-fraud rules).
• Joint ventures allowed; JV members are jointly and severally liable; representatives must be authorized.
• Conflicts of interest must be avoided; relatives or affiliates may trigger disqualification.
• Kenyan tax compliance certificate required for eligibility.
• Foreign bidders must source at least 40% of inputs from Kenyan citizens.
• National Construction Authority registration is required before contract signature.
• Bidders from restricted countries are excluded; debarment lists apply.

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: online by 18 June 2026 at 11:00 (see PROPOSED UPGRADE OF PABX SYSTEM AT ELDORET INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.pdf). The tender may be extended by addendum (ITT 8/22).
• Submission method: online via the KAA eProcurement portal; login credentials available on request (tenders@kaa.go.ke) at least three days before closing.
• Documents to submit: Form of Tender, priced Bill of Quantities, Tender Security or Declaration, alternative tender (if allowed), Joint Venture Agreement (or intent), qualifications, and a technical proposal.
• Registrations/pre-qualifications: tax compliance; NCA registration before award; JV arrangements if applicable; compliance with ITT 4/17.
• Briefing/site visit: 11 June 2026 at Eldoret International Airport, 10:00 am (not mandatory for attendance but advised).
