Overview

RFQ to appoint a service provider to provide gardening and waste management services at Iziko Museums of South Africa sites for a six-month period. Target bidders are horticultural/facilities management or environmental services applicants with proven garden maintenance, waste management, and related health-and-safety capabilities; relevant certifications and demonstrated track record are desirable.

Requirements

• Minimum technical threshold: 60 points for technical criteria (Track record and Key personnel experience each up to 50 points).
• Track record: evidence of Garden services completed in past 5 years (LOAs and close-out letters required; see RFQ for scoring).
• Key personnel: CVs for the supervisor with verifiable garden services experience and references.
• Compliance documents: Central Supplier Database report; detailed pricing structure on company letterhead (VAT-inclusive); valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; signed RFQ documents.
• Site requirements: adherence to schedule (external grounds maintenance, mowing, weeding, spraying/fertilizing, tree/shrub work, irrigation upkeep) and safety/operational standards (PPE, fuel/maintenance provision, waste removal).
• Evaluation: best value approach with 80/20 price vs. specific goals; ability to satisfy HDI and other preferential goals as applicable.
