Overview

Provision for civil work on MV/LV underground cables within Eskom Distribution Gauteng Cluster for a period of 5 years on an “as and when” required basis. This tender targets civil and electrical civil contractors with track record in MV/LV underground cabling, roadworks and related civils, capable of delivering under Eskom’s SHEQ, environmental, and local-content requirements. Key prerequisites include CIDB registration (CE or higher) and compliance with Eskom’s standard tender conditions and pre-qualification requirements.

Requirements

• CIDB registration and/or demonstrated capability to be registered within 21 working days after closing; proof of CIDB at closing is mandatory.
• Compliance with Eskom Standard Conditions of Tender (Rev 12, Feb 2025) and acceptance of tender procedures, addenda, and acceptance of negotiated terms.
• SHEQ: provide proof of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality systems and capabilities at submission; include environmental management plan aligned with ISO 14001:2015 requirements (site rehabilitation, waste management, incident logs, etc.).
• CIDB Contract Skills Development Goals (CSDG) and Contract Participation Goals (CPG) applicable to civil/CE works; meet targeted enterprise engagement.
• B-BBEE and CPA/local content requirements; complete Annexures C–G (local/import content declarations) and SBD forms (e.g., SBD 1, SBD 6.1/6.2) as attached.
• Mandatory tender returnables must be complete; submit original and copies as required; ensure pricing is in ZAR and inclusive of taxes; fix pricing for contract duration.

How to Apply

• Deadline: submit by 30 June 2026 at 10:00; extension and addenda processed per Eskom tender rules.
• Submission: electronic via Eskom E-tendering site (etendering.eskom.co.za).
• Documents: complete and submit Annexures A–J, SBD forms, CPA/Local Content declarations, Pricing Schedule/BOQ, and all mandatory returnables. Include proof of CIDB registration and any SDL&I undertakings.
