Overview

Provision for MV/LV Maintenance & Repairs for MV & LV (Overhead aerial bundled conductor and bare conductor lines) in Cape Coastal Cluster – Eastern Cape. This tender is open to electrical contractors with MV/LV line experience, authorizations, and the ability to meet Eskom’s technical, safety, and contractual requirements (including NEC3/ ECC3 framework).

Requirements

• Eligibility and compliance: no conflicting interests; not on sanctions lists; single tender per firm or JV; CIDB grading EP PE 2+ (where applicable); valid tax clearance; CSD registration; COID/Good Standing; BBBEE.
• Returnables and documents: Annexures A–J (Authorisation Form, Acknowledgement, Tenderers Particulars, Integrity Declaration, SBD 1, SBD 6.1/6.2, J Bidder Disclosure, Tax/CPP forms, CSD, NEC3/Contract Data, priced BOQ) and NEC3 Documentation (Part 2, Offer/Acceptance); Pricing Schedule.
• Technical/functionality criteria (minimum 75% to qualify): Skills/Training Resources (45%), Tools/Equipment (40%), Experience (15%). Evidence must be certified (e.g., training certificates with validation letters) and site-verified.
• Authorizations & training: Eskom MV/LV authorizations; validated operating/legislation certificates; specific HV/LV courses; safety and environmental training; tool/equipment validation; on-site verification.
• Tools, equipment, and vehicles: proof of ownership or hire letters for listed items; asset registers; sign-off letters from hiring companies; site verification of tools.
• Market requirements: up to 50 contractors per panel to enable quick task-order allocation; ongoing authorizations to be held at award.
• Pricing and preferences: 80/20 price/price-related and specific goals; PPPFA scoring; local content obligations for designated items (SBD 6.2, Local Content Declaration).

How to Apply

• Submission window: closes 07 September 2026 at 10:00 (closing date/time). Non-compulsory clarification meeting on 25 August 2026 via MS Teams; confirm attendance to wellemt@eskom.co.za (MS Teams link in ITT).

• How to submit: electronically via Eskom E-tendering portal. Upload PDFs (price lists in PDF) and Excel copies; max 50MB per file; total submission limit 900MB; no hard copies; ensure status is “complete.”
