Overview

Procurement of a Renovations and Refurbishment panel contract at Megawatt Park (MWP), Eskom Academy of Learning (EAL) and Eskom Research Innovation Centre (ERIC) Campuses for three years on an “as and when required basis.” Bidders should be capable construction/renovation contractors with the ability to deliver multi-site refurbishment, and must align with Eskom’s quality and safety requirements (ISO 9001 QMS, OHS, and related governance).

Requirements

• A formal QMS based on ISO 9001 (latest revision) for the supplier and any sub-suppliers; valid ISO 9001 certificate required unless excluded by tender category.
• Completion and submission of Form A to acknowledge Eskom quality requirements (ISO 9001) and any scope-specific addenda; Category selection (1–4) governs exact returnables (per 3.5.x). See 240-105658000/ QM 58.
• Health and Safety: OHS policies, baseline risk assessment, Health and Safety Plan, COIDA/Good Standing, and OHS competency documentation (CVs and qualifications).
• Pre-Contract Quality Requirements: Contract Quality Plan (CQP) and Quality Control Plan/ITP; sub-supplier CQPs/ITPs; records management; management of special processes (e.g., welding, NDT) where applicable; access to records and ability to accommodate Eskom inspections (AIA/inspections).
• Sub-supplier governance: main supplier to manage sub-supplier QCP/ITP adherence; Eskom may audit sub-suppliers and appoint resident inspectors.
• Post-Contract: ongoing quality performance monitoring, monthly reports, and Eskom audits/oversight of QCPs/ITPs.
• Category-based tender returnables, including ISO 9001 evidence and internal/external audit reports (as applicable). See Annexures for OHS evaluation templates and supplier quality requirements. See Annexure C 1.pdf and 240-105658000.
