Overview

Provision of a Wide Area Network (WAN) with internet access and Voice over IP (VOIP) services for 36 months. The CGE seeks a fully managed SD-WAN and VoIP solution to design, implement, migrate, operate, maintain and support connectivity across CGE offices for 36 months. Bidder should have substantial WAN/VoIP experience, own infrastructure, and deliver on security, reliability and scalable performance (HQ and provincial offices).

Requirements

• Fully outsourced, managed SD-WAN with integrated VoIP, security and central management.
• Minimum bandwidth: HQ 200 Mbps; provincial offices 100 Mbps (scalable); uncapped, business-grade, uncontended internet.
• SD-WAN features: application-aware routing, QoS, real-time analytics, zero-touch provisioning, central policy management, self-healing.
• Integrated security: NGFW, Secure Web Gateway, IDS/IPS, ZTNA, end-to-end encryption, remote access, network segmentation.
• VoIP: hosted IP PBX, TMS, handsets, disaster recovery, unlimited internal CGE calls; 115 enterprise handsets required across offices.
• Cloud/hybrid integration: Microsoft Azure connectivity, multi-cloud support.
• Monitoring/Reporting: single portal with real-time and historical analytics, SLA reporting.
• Transition/migration plan, training, knowledge transfer; service continuity and disaster recovery.
• Service provider criteria: own infrastructure; minimum 10 years in similar services; at least 3 reference letters; evidence of going concern; latest audited financials.
• Compliance: CSD registration; BBBEE considerations; adherence to CGE SCM and price-adjustment policies (Annexure 4).

How to Apply

• Submissions must be in a sealed envelope, reflecting CGE/T/06/2026/27, deposited at 2 Kotze Street, Women’s Jail, East Wing, Constitution Hill, Bramfontein 2017, by 28 August 2026 at 11:00 (original + two copies).
• Submit on official CGE tender documents; use the Pricing Schedule (Firm Prices) and Annexure 4 for price adjustments; include SBD forms and BBBEE declarations (document references: CGE WAN & VOIP.pdf).
• Include CSD status, VAT number, contact details, three reference letters, and evidence of at least 10 years of service in this domain.
• CGE may negotiate terms; awards may be partial or multi-provider; late tenders are not considered.
