PROVISION OF BANKING SERVICES

Overview

Provision of banking services to Mossel Bay Municipality for a five-year period. Bids are invited from local banks registered under the Banks Act No 94 of 1990 to provide municipal commercial banking services starting 1 July 2027, with a compulsory online briefing and a 120-day bid validity.

Requirements

• Local banks registered under Banks Act No 94 of 1990; capable of delivering municipal transactional banking, implementation, and ongoing services.
• Tax Clearance: Tax Compliance Status Pin from SARS (separate pins for joint ventures/consortia as required).
• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• CIDB registration if applicable (noted as N/A in this tender).
• Proof of locality in Mossel Bay area (municipal account, lease, or sworn affidavit showing physical business premises).
• Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Commissioner (or equivalent) for each bidder/member in a consortium.
• B-BBEE status: valid certificate or affidavit in line with the B-BBEE Codes.
• Authorized signatory: board/resolution authorizing submission with original signature.
• Compliance with GCC/SCC and other tender conditions; 120-day validity; compulsory briefing attendance.

• Submission method: sealed envelope placed in the tender box at Mossel Bay Town Hall, 101 Marsh Street, Mossel Bay; no email/fax submissions; late bids not accepted.
