Overview

Provision of Building and Infrastructure Maintenance Services at Vanderkloof Hydro Station on an as-and-when-required basis for five years. The contract covers multi-disciplinary maintenance at Eskom peaking sites (buildings, envelope, roofing, walls, doors, electrical, plumbing, roads, fencing, fire protection, etc.), with bidders expected to demonstrate capability across civil/building works and related services and hold relevant CIDB registration. The package emphasizes quality management, safety, and compliance with Eskom tender processes.

Requirements

• CIDB registration appropriate to the works (Building/Civil and related disciplines).
• Quality: implement a Supplier Quality Management Specification (ISO 9001 or equivalent) with a Quality Plan and Contract Quality Plan.
• Safety/OS&H: comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 and Eskom’s risk management/safety procedures (Baseline risk assessment; Employees’ Right of Refusal to Work in an Unsafe Situation procedure).
• Compliance documents: complete and submit required SBD forms (SBD 1, SBD 4, SBD 6.1/6.2) and local content declarations; provide NDA, Supplier Declaration of Interest, and Integrity Pact as applicable; tax questionnaire for PAYE assessment.
• Pre- and post-contract quality checks, audits, and non-conformity management as per the Supplier Quality Management specification.
• Mandatory Clarification Meeting and tender documentation updates via the Eskom Tender Bulletin; bid addenda published as needed.
• Scope and rules are governed by the Invitation to Tender ITT Vanderfkloof (Attachment Kar), Standard Conditions of Tender, and the associated Scope of Work and NEC3-based contract data.

How to Apply

• Attend the compulsory Clarification Meeting: 14 September 2026 at 11:00 (Microsoft Teams) per the ITT documents.
• Obtain and study bid documents (Invitation to Tender ITT Vanderfkloof; attachments include Annexures A–J, SBDs, PSD/Local Content forms, and the Scope of Work – Attachment 3).
• Prepare and submit electronically via the Eskom e-tendering site before the closing date: 07 October 2026 at 10:00 (closing time indicated in the ITT).
• Complete and attach Returnables (e.g., Template in Attachment 6), Form of Offer and Acceptance (Attachment 4) and Schedule of Deviations, and ensure CIDB registration is included.
• Ensure registrations and pre-qualifications (CIDB, tax status, and supplier vetting) are current; sign and return all required documents (NDA, Supplier Declaration of Interest, Integrity Pact) as part of the submission.
