Overview

Provision of cleaning services for the Nelson Mandela Museum at Bhunga Building in Mthatha, Youth and Heritage Centre in Qunu and Information Centre in Qunu for a period of three years. Bidders must be professional cleaning service providers capable of servicing three sites, including hygiene, pest control and related facilities management over 36 months.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience; contract value of at least R3 million in the last five years.
• Compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS) and site-specific OHS plan; training and PPE for staff.
• Minimum insurance: Public Liability cover of R5,000,000; provide valid certificate.
• Statutory compliance: UIF/COIDA, Provident Fund, tax clearance, and CSD registration; BBBEE compliance.
• Consumables and equipment: use SABS-approved equipment and biodegradable chemicals; provider supplies consumables; maintain equipment (12-hour repair/replacement response).
• Staffing: minimum site complements (per ToRs) with relievers; personnel must be vetted and able to communicate in English.
• Documentation: complete set of compulsory returnable documents (SBD1, SBD2, SBD3.3, SBD4, SBD6.1, SBD7.2, SBD8, SBD9) plus proofs (CSD, NCCA/SAPCA, OHSA/OHSP, COIDA, BBBEE, 3 years of audited financials, etc.).
• Evaluation criteria: 80/20 price with 20 points for specific goals; functionality scored up to 100 with a minimum threshold.
